Marie Curie
As the festive period approaches, we are supporting Marie Curie in its drive for volunteers and are asking you to give the gift of time.Â
Marie Curie needs you to help fundraise, so they can continue their amazing work in helping those living with terminal illness in Northern Ireland.Â
Please donate your time, and volunteer to collect at your local SPAR store. Even as little as one hour of your day can make a big difference.Â
Every one of us in Northern Ireland will be affected at some point by a terminal illness. But today one in four people don’t get the care and support they need at the end of their lives.
That’s why we’re partnering with Marie Curie, to help them raise funds so their nurses can be there for families when they need them most.
Marie Curie provides care and support for around 2,500 people living with a terminal illness in Northern Ireland each year. They offer expert care and support both at home and in their Belfast hospice.Â
We are delighted to be extending our support to Marie Curie who, like SPAR NI, are there for everyone in the community. Through our partnership we aim to raise both money and awareness for the charity so they can continue to be there for people living with any terminal illness and their families – at home, in hospitals and in hospices.Â
What does it mean to be a Marie Curie Nurse?
Hear from the Marie Curie Nurses about the hours of care, the moments of comfort, and the nights spent supporting people and families at home, when they need it most.
