3 ways to use your porridge oats
Apple & Cinnamon Overnight Oats
The perfect start to your day!
What you'll need:
- 40g rolled porridge oats
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 medium Royal Gala apple, peeled, cored and chopped
- 60ml almond milk (or any milk or your choice)
- 1 1/2 tsp maple syrup
- 60g plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed or chia seeds
Method:
- Add the ingredients to a mason jar or other individual storage container in the order listed above: oats, cinnamon, chopped apples, almond milk, maple syrup, Greek yogurt, and flaxseed
- Seal jar and refrigerate overnight (for up to 5 days)
- When ready to eat, shake the jar to combine the ingredients or empty the contents into a serving bowl and stir to combine.
- Add a little more Greek yogurt or almond milk if a thicker or thinner consistency is desired.
- Add any desired toppings and enjoy!
