Cowboy Pie
Rustic, hearty, and bursting with flavours, Cowboy Pie is the ultimate comfort food. Quick to prepare and packed with great ingredients, it’s a perfect choice for weeknight dinners when you’re craving something tasty.
What you'll need:
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 454g Pork sausages
- 1 Onion, Peeled and chopped into large chunks
- 2 Tins of Baked beans
- 400 g Tinned tomatoes
- 2 packs of mash direct mashed potato
- 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 100g grated cheese
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
- Add olive oil & sausages to a frying pan and cook for 5 minutes, turning regularly.
- Chop the sausages into chunks. Add the onions and peppers. Cook for a further 7-10 minutes until the peppers have started to soften and the sausages are golden.
- Add the beans, tomatoes, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the sausage mix to an oven dish and top with the mashed potatoes and grated cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top has turned golden.
