Honey Chilli Chicken
Belfast Food Blogger’s Honey Chilli Chicken

What you'll need:
1 x egg
120g flour
4 x chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
2 tbsp oil (I prefer rapeseed oil)
2 x cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbsp honey
Dash of soy sauce
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 x scallions
Method:
*Before you begin cooking you need to crack an egg into a bowl and mix with a fork. Then put the flour in a separate bowl.
- Cut the chicken into thin strips and dip each strip in egg mixture then roll in flour
- Add oil to the wok and turn heat up to high. Add chicken and cook for 8-12 minutes on a high heat
- For the sauce, add a little oil in a separate pan on a medium heat, add the crushed garlic, and cook for 2 minutes. Then add honey, a dash of soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce, cook for a further minute (if the sauce is too thick, simply add a dash of water)
- Add the chicken strips to the sauce and cook together for 90 seconds• Serve with boiled rice, noodles or salad and garnish with chopped scallions
