Tender sirloin steak, mixed peppers, and onions are cooked to perfection and layered with melted cheese in a crispy tortilla. Seasoned with optional chili powder for a kick, this savoury quesadilla is a quick and satisfying meal.
What you'll need:
- SPAR enjoy local Sirloin Steak
- The Greengrocer’s Mixed Peppers
- The Greengrocer’s Onions
- Coleraine Grated Cheese
- Chilli powder (optional)
Method:
- Thinly slice the peppers and onions
- Season the steak and cook to your liking. Let the steak rest before slicing thinly.
- Add the peppers and onions to the pan and fry. Season with salt and pepper and add some chilli powder
- Add the sliced steak to the cooked peppers and onions.
- Place a tortilla wrap in the pan, add cheese to half the wrap and add the steak, pepper and onion mix and top with more cheese.
- Fold the tortilla wrap over onto the steak mixture and cook for 3 -4 minutes, flip the tortilla wrap and cook for a further 3-4mins.
- Cut the wrap in half and serve.
