A proper winter warmer!
What you'll need:
- 500g Enjoy Local Steak Pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 500g potatoes, peeled & chopped
- 2 medium carrots, peeled & chopped
- 700ml beef stock
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 100ml cold water
Method:
- Place a large deep pot over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and onion to the pan and cook, stirring, until the onion is soft and the beef is no longer pink.
- Drain off the excess fat and return the pan to the heat.
- Add the beef stock to the steak and onion mixture along with the potatoes and carrots.
- Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Continue to cook for about 25 minutes, or until the vegetables and steak pieces are tender.
- In a cup or small bowl, combine the flour and cold water; stir until smooth.
- Stir the flour and water mixture into the stew. Increase the heat to medium-low and continue to cook, uncovered, for about 2 to 3 minutes. Season as needed.
